Dedication of St Bernard's Church After Fire of 1917

Bishop Chartrand presided at the dedication of St Bernard's Catholic Church rebuilt after the 1917 fire. A large crowd attended despite short notice with a citywide picnic and dinner raising over 500 dollars. The project cost about 25000 dollars and features fireproof construction, new windows, altars, pews, and a planned organ.

Members of the Presbyterian church honored Dr. C and Mrs C D Ehrman with a farewell reception Wednesday at their Fifth street home before Ehrman departs for Fort Oglethorpe Georgia. The event featured a farewell talk by F S Morgenthaler and light refreshments following the program.

Rhoton Boyd Couple Wed in Lititz Church

Mr and Mrs E L Boyd announce the marriage of their daughter Lucy Margaret to Mr Walter Rhoton of Lititz Pennsylvania. The ceremony was held at St Pauls Lutheran Church Lititz on Wednesday August 28 at 6 o clock Rev Fleck officiated before intimate friends. The couple, graduates of Purdue and Indiana respectively, are employed with the Ideal Cocoa and Chocolate mills in Lititz and are spending a week in Atlantic City prior to establishing home at 224 South Spruce Street Lititz Pa.

The court named Harris guardian for a minor. The Florentine Fishback suit against William H. Motteler was dismissed. Several divorces granted with child custody and support orders. Big fire in Wallace Idaho destroys the Gentry dairy plant causing substantial losses.
