Carrie Garrison by her next friend Catha M. Garrison sues for sale of real estate and an accounting of rents for seven years. Plaintiff claims one ninth ownership in property eight ninths held by defendants. requests partition avoidance and appointment of a commissioner. seeks one ninth of past rental value. The Spencer County Board of Charities inspected local facilities on August 29, 1918. Nine men and one woman were jailed, with concerns over security and contraband risk. The county poor asylum housed twenty inmates, while the Orphans Home cared for twenty three children needing electric lights and a modern heating plant. Mrs. Anna Wright presided.
Congressman Lieb of the First district reports a large stock of farmers bulletins and pamphlets available free to readers. Farmers should request a catalogue from Lieb’s Washington office, selecting from more than 500 subjects, with free delivery while supplies last.

A prisoner convicted of horse stealing escapes Spencer County Jail by cutting through a wall. Brown assumes control of the hotel following the incident as authorities tighten security and pursue recaptured inmates.
