Prisoners Escape From County Jail
Two inmates fled the county jail after eleven on Tuesday night by sawing two bars from a south end window. Dave Montgomery awaiting murder trial and Archie Claybrook a jailed pickpocket escaped. Sheriff Kramer alerted authorities. A third prisoner, Reuban Bennett, remained.

A pleasant picnic party occurred at Taylorsport on Monday evening November 3. Guests enjoyed boating and games before a sunset grove supper. Hallowe en Party at Brand Home Near Silverdale
Mr and Mrs George Brand hosted a Halloween gathering Friday night near Silverdale entertaining many friends. Jack o lanterns lit the entry while a witch figure and fortune teller provided lighthearted fun and prizes were awarded in peanut and ducking for apples contests. A supper decorated with roses and creams accompanied the evening’s festivities.
