Automobile crash near Rockport ends with two youths unhurt
Louis L Wilkinson and Raymond Schroder escaped injury when their car skidded off a gravel road along the Gentry farm west of Rockport. The vehicle overturned once and landed on an embankment after traveling about fifty feet on the embankment. Damage to the car was about 25 dollars with a replaced wheel before being driven to the garage.

Court hearing over disputed Elm Street lot seeks compromise
In Vanderburg circuit court last Monday John H. Smith sued Elizabeth Boehm for possession and title to four feet of ground between their Elm Street homes. Judge Givens took the case under advisement after evidence. The parcel is valued at about $40. Three lawyers and about a dozen witnesses added costs, prompting the judge to urge a compromise. no deal was reached and May 19 was set for further proceedings or the court's judgment.

Young Man dies after illness in town area
William J. Conen died Wednesday evening May 10 at home of his parents one mile west of town after five months of tuberculosis. The funeral will be at St Bernard's Catholic church at 9 o'clock Saturday morning with Rev F E B Schaub officiating. He was 29 years one month sixteen days old and survived by a wife and two sons aged six and three.

Boy Fractures Hip in Pole Vault Accident
Wilford Wells son of Mr and Mrs Herb Wells fractured the hip area of his left leg while pole vaulting after school Tuesday. He dragged himself home then went to Evansville for X rays showing a hip joint fracture. He was brought back home and is doing very well now.
