Christian W. Selzer died at his Centerville home on June 17 1920 after a four week illness. Funeral services were held June 20 with Rev Christian Emigholz in charge and burial in Centerville Cemetery. He was born February 10 1850 in Germany and came to the United States in 1855. Married November 2 1887 to Elizabeth Goodman, he left a wife two sons Wm C Selzer and John J Selzer a step daughter Mrs John Jacobs a brother Wm Selzer three grandchildren and two step grandchildren, all mourning his loss. He was a devoted Christian and valued family and neighborhood ties.
Evansville hosts alumni gathering at Central High School with a banquet in the cafeteria and a program in the assembly hall. Notables include Katherine Weiss from Rockport and Margaret Armstrong of Evansville, class of 1863, with Armstrong delivering reminiscences of early school days to applause.

Frank Robinson Armstrong and Bertha F Potts were married Monday morning June 14 at the Massman home in Princeton Indiana. Rev St John Halstead officiated at ten o clock. The couple will reside at Plympton Place Evansville after July first.

Mr and Mrs Charles Darneal hosted a Tuesday dinner at their Walnut Street home. Guests included Mr and Mrs C C Conner, Mr and Mrs Albert Hollihan and Burlington Iowa children, Mrs A N Powers of St Marys West Virginia, Mrs Minnie Oelze, Oelze Darneal, and Mr and Mrs Charles Darneal.

Fred Rimstidt to bond 30000 with sureties Rimstidt family and E L Boyd. County Agent notes warn of grasshoppers and outline poison bait formula and cooperative control plan.
Mrs C W Halbruge hosted a Thursday evening reception in honor of Mrs Mildred Bubenzer Artmann of Chicago. Guests included Mrs Louise Fisher Broughton of Minneapolis and many former R H S classmates with friends and associate teachers. The gathering featured garden flowers, reminiscences, song, and iced refreshments.
The Girls Canning Club met Tuesday in the Domestic Science room of the Washington building under Miss Nell Rimstidt. They canned over forty quarts of fruits and vegetables. Bertha Cook spoke on canning. Each girl plans to can twenty five quarts of fruit and twenty five quarts of vegetables with at least five fruits and five vegetables. Each member will exhibit ten quarts of her choicest produce at the Rockport Fair for prizes.
Telegram from Spencer county notes the death of Mrs Amanda Greathouse Denny at 78 in Santa Cruz California. Cause given pneumonia probable. Survived by three sisters in Rockport and six children spread across Santa Cruz and Denver with several relatives.
Roland Wallace of Dale and Miss Velma Deatrick of Fort Wayne were married last Thursday at the Congregational church of Fort Wayne with Rev. Arthur Folsom officiating. They will reside in Huntingburg where Mr. Wallace will manage the Wallace Milling Company plant. The bride is described as charming and popular in Fort Wayne society.
Orville Martin bought last Monday the insurance stock of the late Cull Hamilton in the Cull Hamilton & Co. He gains control of the stock and the business will be verified for the present under the name The Cull Hamilton Co. which is incorporated.
