Miss Kathryn Hahn daughter of Mrs E P Hahn of Vanderbuilt married Friday in Vincennes to Alpert G Hollander advertising manager of the Evansville Courier and Journal. The bride, cousin of Mrs Ehrman of Rockport, has visited here often and after graduating from Indiana University joined the Courier staff writing the style feature Through the shops with Dolly.
Sidney H. Greene, a former Rockport resident, died last Saturday at his Covington Oklahoma home of Brights disease. He was 70 and survived by his wife, three children Arthur Green Della Bridges and Elsie Hamilton, all of Covington, and brother Milton Greene of Rockport. Funeral held Tuesday. he had lived in Rockport, then Lake City Arkansas, and worked in Covington oil fields. active in I Q O F.
Two motor cars meet in a high speed head on near Powers's corner on the high levee over Lake Drain creek. Two men in the southbound car leap to help and rescue occupants of the northbound lighter car from tumbling over the embankment. No injuries or major damage reported. Eye witness Uncle Mat Pennington feared a fatal fall.
The cradle roll of Trinity Lutheran church will be dedicated next Sunday morning with services starting at 10 15 after Sunday School. Five young members are Joe Thompson Youngblood Roy Donald Bauman Betty Treille Bullock Mason Jean Cochran and Kenneth Hargis Gibbs.
The R L Dollings Company, dealing in securities and financing manufacturing concerns, was placed in receivership last Friday by 28 stockholders. The firm reportedly sold $75,000 in stock to residents of Spencer County, and holders may lose part of their investment.

A pageant retelling Rockport’s early days, once called Hanging Rock, will open the new park this Thursday at 6 45 pm. Written and directed by Mrs C D Ehrman, the event features Daniel Grass and the Langford family in scenes of forest life Indian life and progress with music by Mrs W C Mason and the Rockport band.

Mrs Ellis Thrasher aged 54 died last Sunday at her home near Midway after ten weeks of illness from a complication of diseases. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from the Methodist church in Chrisney conducted by Rev John Jeffries of French Lick. She is survived by her husband, former sheriff of Spencer County, and one son Oatley.
Mr and Mrs Allen Mohr of Madison Wisconsin visit to spend the rest of the summer with Mrs Amelia Mohr and John Pyle families.
Seiple Corn of Hartwell and Velva Corn of Petersburg were married on Thursday in Washington Indiana by Rev LeRoy Sargent. The ceremony surprised friends. The couple drove to Turkey Run for a short stay and will reside in Hartwell. The groom is the son of Mrs Mary Seiple of Rockport and has a background as a mine owner and coal mine manager after leaving Rockport eight years ago for New York plans.
A fishing outing on the Wabash near Flint Ind ends in drowning for George Regener and Mrs. Elmer Strasser of Evansville and one more woman, daughters of Aquilla Lloyd Richland. Their bodies were recovered over two days with a triple funeral held at Bethel Evangelical Church and burial at Oak Sum.

Southern Indiana Christian churches schedule an all-day service and basket dinner at Lincoln Park in Lincoln City on Sunday August 5. Speakers will present programs in the forenoon and afternoon. Mrs Heuring and Mrs Pattie entertained a bridge party Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs Heuring. Guests attended for an afternoon of cards and conversation in a cordial social event.
