Tubercular Cottages Open in Spencer County
The Spencer county Anti Tuberculosis society completed three Burr cottages for tubercular patients with one more existing exhibit. Two cottages are in Rock Port and one at Grandview. all cost about £60 each funded by Red Cross seals and memberships. A $1 monthly use fee covers painting and repairs as the group seeks a regional tubercular colony with nurse care. Soldier and Bride to Visit Relatives in Grass Township
Captain Fred Jacobs of the regular army and his bride of one week arrived Monday from Chicago Illinois to visit his brothers John and William Jacobs in Grass township. Miss Josephine Mitchell of Chicago wed Captain Jacobs in Chicago last Saturday. They left Tuesday evening for Evansville to visit his brother Louis also in the service, then proceed to Fort Harrison Indianapolis, where the captain will await orders.

Tragedy at Maceo Ky Ends with Fatal Knife Attack
At Maceo near Rockport Kentucky a late night box car fight left Ernest Bassett dead after he stabbed Sylvester Scarbrough. Martin Scarbrough shot Bassett four times, killing him. Sylvester Scarbrough is hospitalized but could recover. Martin surrendered to the Daviess County sheriff on Monday.
