Mrs Hannah E Brand born December 28 1841 near Gentryville Spencer county Indiana died June 28 aged sixty eight years six months. She married Henry Brand February 25 1866 and had nine children seven living Mary Richey Lizzie Garrett Everett Brand Frank Brank Katie Tullis Cora Tullis George Brand Benjamin F Bridges Rachael Lee Wyatt Bridges. Survived by one half sister and three half brothers all in Spencer county. She joined Methodist then Presbyterian at Silverdale and was a devoted wife mother and neighbor who supported her church and community. She will be sadly missed.

Farm man badly hurt by runaway team at Rock Hill
W. J. Kramer of Grass township was run over by his team while unloading wheat at a Rock Hill warehouse last Saturday. The wagon wheel struck the back of his head causing a dangerous scalp cut and severe bruises. He was also bruised on the shoulders and suffered internal injuries. Doctors initially doubted recovery but Kramer is now considered to be improving and should survive.

Death of Leo F. Spayd Brightens Jasper Obituary Record
Leo F. Spayd born March 7 1850 in Spencer county died Friday night on his Martin county farm near Loogootee aged 60 years 3 months 11 days. He learned tinning in Ferdinand then ran hardware and tinware businesses at Celestine and Jasper built the Spayd block near the Jasper court house. He married Catharine Giehl in 1875 and had several children. He later moved to Dubois then bought a Martin county farm. He was son of Michael Spayd of Rockport and left a wife and several children. burial was at St Marys church Loogootee.

Mew Firm Dissolves in Mutual Agreement at Rockport
The produce firm of T. R. Hardy & Co. dissolved July 1 in mutual consent. R W Richards retired and was replaced by Cormer Hardy, son of T R Hardy. The firm bought 1,500,000 pounds of tobacco last season and spent 120,891 dollars handling it. Richards joined D G Agnew and Mort Brown in a Rockport co partnership dealing in farm products locally.
