Ohio township farmers hosted a two day institute at the Auditorium January 20 and 21 led by President Will W. Guy. Speakers including Mr. Lewis Taylor on farm organization and Mr. Sexton on corn culture shared practical farming insights while local musicians entertained. Miss Fannie Sargent spoke on her France battlefield experiences after serving under shell fire and a two day dugout duty. guests included Mrs Harry Towles and Mrs J Noland. Gov Goodrich challenged Republican lawmakers at a caucus urging stricter platform pledges and labor reform, a move that unsettles the party and may hinder suffrage progress in Indiana.

Wilburn Family Reunion Held in Grandview
A Wilburn reunion gathered at Mrs. Wilburn’s Grandview home last Sunday January 19 with honored guests Mr. and Mrs. Ed V Wilburn of New York. Attendees included Alice Curry and daughter Vetris Emma Smith Ray Flickner and son Edward from Evansville Fred H Wilburn and daughter Mary of Mt Vernon Chas A Wilburn and Anna Wilburn of Rockport. It marked the first reunion since 1883 when John A Wilburn died. Ed V Wilburns party then returned to Evansville and short time later departed for California beginning another trip around the world.
