Marriage of Francis Fella and Eva Pemberton

The wedding of Francis Fella of Chrisney to Eva Pemberton of this city took place Tuesday morning at St Bernard’s Catholic church. Rev Timothy Kavanaugh officiated at 8:50. The bride wore blue velour with silver trim. Attendants were Agnes Fella and John Fela. A wedding breakfast followed at the home of Mrs Audey Haines. The couple will reside in Chrisney after a honeymoon trip.

John Biason Dies After Four Month Illness in Columbus

John Biason died Tuesday morning at ten in Columbus Georgia after a four month cerebral hemorrhage. He was 73. Survived by wife Mrs Sissen and daughter, and brother J M Baird of Columbus. Niece Maude Mason Lang left to attend funeral. services held in Columbus. Remains buried there.

FourYearOld Burns to Death in Bonfire Accident

Leslie Clifford Hammond four year old son of Mr and Mrs Clifford Hammond fatally burned Saturday while playing near a bonfire. Clothes caught fire and he burned unconscious before older boys could reach him. He died Sunday morning at three. Funeral services were held Monday at the Center street home conducted by Rev W W Moore and Rev Tullis. Interment was at Grandview.

Farmers Urge County Agent Funding In Spencer County

At the Spencer County Farm Bureau meeting on Dec 30 1941 directors prepared a petition to the County Council urging annual funding to retain the County Agent.
