Death of Henry Ripkey Veteran Civil War Soldier
Henry Ripkey died at his Walnut street home after a two year paralysis. He was seventy five, survived by his widow, with funeral Thursday at 2 pm from the family residence. Rev. BE H Boldrey presided, the G A R post assisting. He served in Co. T, First Indiana Cavalry.

Depository Selections For County Funds Announced
The county finance board picked depositories for county and Rockport city funds for two years. Farmers bank received 38000, Old Rockport bank 30000 county funds and 3000 city funds, First National 30000, Lake State 20000, Dale and Chrisney 15000 each, Grandview 12000. Travis Jones of Bloomfield Grass township died last Thursday night from lockjaw after fingers were cut by a corn shredder two weeks earlier. He was 30 with a wife and four children. funeral held in Bloomfield Sunday.
