Diehls Return From Pennsylvania Trip After Vincennes Wreck
Rev. and Mrs. J. H. Diehl arrived home after visiting their son Harold at Pennsylvania College Gettysburg and relatives in Easton and Kintnersville. They were aboard a C. and E. I. train wrecked at Vincennes Sunday evening but escaped injury. Six coaches overturned as the train jumped the track near the city limits. two passengers were seriously hurt Mrs. L. Rockport city council ends year with all debts paid and a clear slate for 1922. Mayor E D Khyman and council started January 1 1922 with no treasury funds and a 7000 debt from prior board. John Coiles a 39 year old button cutter was declared insane and jailed awaiting admission to Woolmere after a Holy Roller meeting in Rockport triggered mental decline. He has refused food and threatened his wife and child. A. J. Glackman a 66 year old retired farmer and notable citizen was also declared insane and sent to Woodmere after repeated heat strokes and a two year gradual mental decline.
