Annual Banquet of the Literary Society Held at Diehl Home
A Tuesday evening Literary Society banquet at Rev J H Diehl's residence attracted thirty four members and guests including Mr Mrs Louis Schoenfield wife of the Woman's Club president. Partners were assigned by divided cards and a turkey dinner received strong approval. Mrs C W Halbruge presided as toast mistress with tributes from Mrs Diehl Judge Hearing C W Mason Arch Stevenson Mrs Armstrong Mrs Louis Schoenfeld. In the parlors songs monologue by Mrs Nora Rimstedt and piano numbers by Mrs C W Mason and Mrs Louis Wiener followed the festive decor in a Valentine season theme.
