Mrs. Nora Abshire Dies in Chicago at 82
Mrs. Nora Abshire died Saturday morning in Chicago after pneumonia and arteriosclerosis. She was 82. The body was shipped to Richland City arriving Sunday night and interred at Pleasant Valley cemetery Tuesday afternoon. She is survived by three sons Richard L Daniel and J W Abshire and six grandchildren.

Mrs Charles G Ward died April 3 at her Huntington Beach home California. The funeral was held there Wednesday afternoon and burial was in Pasadena. She is survived by her husband six brothers named John H Fred R A Walker of this city Charles Ingle and Ebb and one sister Mrs Mary Selby who was with her at death. Her only daughter died in 1911 at age 20 and was buried in Sunset Hill.

Isaac L. Kramer former Spencer county sheriff died at his Chrisney home from injuries after being kicked in the abdomen by a horse. He was 65 years old and survived by his wife and twelve children. Funeral services were held at his home and New Hope Baptist church. He served two terms as sheriff and was a prominent county figure. County Agent notes urge Spencer County farmers to subscribe a carload of gift corn for Hoover Relief for Poland and the Near East, to be delivered before May 16.
