The 5.51 mile stretch of Highway 18 east of Rock Valley to Highway 75 ranks as a “super critical” road with a sub-50 sufficiency score. Iowa DOT data place it among the state’s most critically rated roads, with about 2,350 miles below 50 and many nearby segments in Sioux City and Milford Lakes areas.

Rock Valley Library Maintains County Funding Plan
A Saturday meeting of Rock Valley and county library officials upheld a funding plan. The agreement keeps about $18,000 of county support split equally among seven communities with the rest, just over $6,000, distributed per capita. Rock Valley will receive roughly $3,000. Clayton Arend led the proposal, with Mrs. Hale Pember attending.

The event marks the 22nd new model display and the completion of a major remodeling and expansion including offices showrooms parts department and a new service bay. Free hot dogs and apple pie will be served from 11 30 a m to 8 30 p m. Contractors suppliers and 11 employees are named with Tinklenberg as a new part time salesman awaiting full time work after January 1.
