Henry Haupt son of Mrs. 8 Haupt of this place died at his mother's home on Wednesday after an appendicitis operation. Peritonitis ensued despite medical care from Drs. Lock and Rouse of Sioux City. Born August 8 1882 in Sioux County, he had lived on a farm near Rock Valley the past 14 years and was active in church. Survived by his mother, three brothers, and one sister. funeral arrangements pending as his brother John is in the Army.
