Mrs. Jake Selena Punerat obituary notes Mrs. Jake Solsma, 84, died Wednesday at home. Services were 1 p.m. at home and 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed Jehub in Hull. Born in The Netherlands, she came to the United States 20 years ago. Survivors include her widow and two daughters Mrs. John T Smit of Hull and Mrs. Henry Riemersma of Matlock, plus nine stepchildren.
Muuvenburg Funeral services for Mrs Dick Muilenburg, 61, who died after months of illness, were held Thursday afternoon at Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City with Reverend Charles Boonstra officiating. Survivors include her husband, a son Ivan, a daughter Mrs Allen Rops of Orange City, and another daughter Mrs Keith De Jong of Grand Haven Michigan. Mrs De Jong had cared for her mother. She and Mr De Jong plan to depart for India soon.
A teacher from Kadaikanul will join the Arcot mission in south India to educate children at a missionary school. The posting notes intent to serve in a religious educational program.

The municipal pool season at Hock Rapids closed after a cooler weekend. Officials say attendance was down from last year due to colder weather but expect a good income over expenses. Plans include a concession island south of the current stands to improve operations next year.

Born September 26 1896 in Rock Valley he leaves brothers Ollie Kaskie Henry Kaskie of Rock Valley and doo Kaskie of Englewood California. sisters Teresa Kaskie of Rock Valley Mrs Joe Langan Armata SD and Mrs Lucille Kreisen Newark NJ. Francis Kaskie and Katheyn Grant were married October 26 1826 in Howard SD. Three sons Bernard Donald Leo nard and one daughter Marcell a survive.
A weather modification exhibit will tour the Clay county fair to educate the public about cloud seeding, rainfall increase, hail suppression and lightning reduction. Movies displays generators and trained personnel will explain the project to visitors.
