Observatory Instal'd At Dordt College Main Station
A new observatory with the largest telescope in Western Iowa has been completed at Dordt College in Sioux Center. Owned and operated by Rev. Richard G. Hodgson, the facility will serve Dordt students and regional people, and is designated Dordt College Observatory Main Station. The older observatory becomes the Campus Station. The Newtonian reflector telescope, built in Long Beach California, measures 36 inches on the main mirror, with an 18 foot tube, delivered in early August for planetary observations.

Northwest Iowa Co-Eds Meet Under Orange City Education Office
The Northwest Iowa Co-Eds organizational meeting was held October 5, 1971, at Maurices Orange City High School Orange City with Mrs Addy Anderson presiding. Officers elected in June 1971 72 include Anderson president Fiddelke vice president and Schulten secretary treasurer. Standing committees were appointed with Donna Schepel as member. The Harmony Home annual meeting is set for Saturday October 16 at 7 45 PM in Orange City Town Hall.

TB Assn To Hold Fall Workshop In Sioux Center
The Sioux County Tuberculosis and Health Association will host a Fall Workshop on October 18 at 9 a.m. at Auto Dine in Sioux Center to launch the Christmas Seals drive. All seal chairs and executives are asked to bring helpers to stuff envelopes. The Western League noted high scores by Timmer and De Bruin with 235 and 876 respectively, while Farmers posted a 2548 team series as part of league standings and events.

4-H Club News Climbing Glovers Meet at Donita Brennemen Home
The Climbing Glovers 4-4 Club met Monday evening Oct 4 at Donita Brennemen's home. The group recited the 4-H Pledge and Pledge of Allegiance tested, minutes of the prior meeting read and approved, and roll call answered with a noted source of vitamin A and G. Demonstrations by Viv X Range Was and Dentts B featured marshmallow crescent rolls Italian plaza, with Marla Mulder visiting and speaking about 4-H. Lunch was served by Donita and her mother, and record books and pictures were discussed.
