Sunday afternoon Otto and Kurvink quarreled when Otto drove by the Kurvink home and horse frightened. Otto claimed a missile was thrown. Kurvink and friends said Otto provoked the quarrel. Otto was assaulted. Kurvink to pay a $5 fine plus costs. Justice Fink presided. change of venue requested.
Up to Date Stores owned by P D Grootes in northwest Iowa shows a greatly expanded capacity to handle double the customers with the same staff. The new equipment, costly upgrades, and motto A Square Deal to All reflect a push to speed and courtesy for Pomber’s Pembek and Penside Phiers A Pembek, with a modern, visible layout and nearly new stock for prompt service.
A baby girl Elizabeth Margaret, born January 2, 1906, died after an eleven day bowel illness. Funeral services were held at the Dutch Reformed Church at 2:00 this afternoon, Rev J N Kots of Carmel officiating, assisted by Rev H W Heynen of Rock Valley. The family and friends express condolences.

Sioux County farmers, led by Superintendent McKee and Professors Holton and John Emery, pushed for better school conditions and support from the county experiment station. County tests have aided corn growers, turning the annual effort into an established institution.

Miss Eva Foyt Renshaw and Clarence G. Alherixon were married at the bride’s mother’s home in a private ceremony officiated by Rev Tibbetts of Tawood. Attended by relatives, the couple plan to reside in Rembrandt where the groom works for Skowis Grain Co. The bride, once a local teacher, receives well wishes for a long, happy life.
Report describes a Saturday night chicken theft at Ed. Quintity's where about one hundred chickens were carried off. Thieves reportedly covered their tracks well, earning sharp rebukes from The Bee which calls chicken stealing a penitentiary offense.
Old Friends Revs Revs Revs and Burnes will lead Methodist Episcopal pulpits at Akron Sheldon and Sutherland next year. They have served the church here before. Jory and Burnes return to familiar pulpits while Rev Plumer becomes the new pastor at Alron.
