Spencer murder tragedy follows Bemidji man to Spencer
The Spencer tragedy centers on Sipes Garage at 139 East Third Street where 21yearold Dan Detling from Bemidji Minnesota was stabbed and died after a confrontation over money. Charles W Baldwin County Attorney leads the prosecution with Heald Cook Heald and Le Roy A Rader as defense. Sipes surrendered and awaits a preliminary hearing scheduled at the Spencer courthouse before Justice E. E. Bender.

Bank Robbery at Lennox South Dakota
Five men robbed the Exchange Bank in Lennox South Dakota taking between 10000 and 12000 in securities and cash. Night watchman Sam Stubson was bound and forced to watch while robbers drilled the vault for hours. A barber Willian Simon was bound returning to town and later released. The robbers fled after disabling telegraph and telephone services. local residents not awakened by the blasts.
