Highway agency to study US 18 in Clay County
The Iowa Highway Commission will begin a preliminary survey for improving U S 18 in Clay County. The 1.9 mile project runs from the O'Brien County line east to U S 71 north of Spencer with widened shoulders and resurfaced pavement. Additional right of way is needed as soils tests start to aid design.

Five Year Construction Program Fines Revealed
The State Highway Commission released its five year plan with a Decem ber fines totaling 53 000 for right of way in FY 1975 and 643 000 for resurfacing and shoulder widening in FY 1976.
