Mary Schuller Roks Valley woman dies after long illness

Mary Schuller longtime Rock Valley resident died Friday morning at home after months of illness. Born January 5 1831 she was 48 years 3 months and 21 days old. She married John Schaller in 1902 and leaves daughter Alice two stepchildren John Schuller and Mrs Henry Kots, sister Mrs Lee Shutter and brothers Haddick Will Anderson Alfred Henderson. Funeral Sunday at home with Rev Lyman F Focht. burial Valley View Cemetery. Card of thanks offers gratitude for sympathy during sickness and death.

Palmer resigns Rock Valley creamery post to join Ida Grove plant

R E Palmer former Rock Valley Creamery manager now resigns from Osceola County Co operative Creamery board to take a similar role at Ida Grove Iowa. He arrived November 20 and will start May 14. The new Ida Grove plant cost 600000 and will be among Iowa’s finest, supplying 14000000 pounds of butter annually to A and P.

Three Boyden Businesses Robbed Saturday Night

Three Boyden business places were broken into last Saturday night. The Himer yard was robbed of about $300 in cash. The Peoples Store lost goods and money. The meat market suffered a break in and damage to the safe before the robbers escaped.

Stores Open Wednesday Nights in Rock Valley

Stores in Rock Valley will stay open Wednesday nights during the summer. Beginning this week, Wednesday night hours will be added to the existing Saturday night openings, continuing a several year custom to keep stores open two evenings weekly.

The Houston Motor Co. property, including garage, stock, and equipment, sold to J. M. and Fred Collenbaugh of Rock Valley. Abs Collenbaugh to manage with residence moved to Ireton. Houston departs as head of the business but remains in area. Houlton to continue with Ireton Rendering Works and residency nearby. The deal settles ownership of a long-standing auto service complex six miles south of Howard in Miner County, South Dakota.

National Grand Army En Campment Returns to Des Moines
