Death of Geeske Lameyer in Rock Valley obituary
Geeske Lameyer died at her Rock Valley home on Wednesday April 22 at age eighty five years five months and seven days due to natural old age decline. Born in Holland she came to the United States in 1912 with her husband and children and has lived in the area since. She leaves two sons Ben and Dick of Rock Valley and daughters in law Mrs Henry Hwaart of Mason City South Dakota and Mrs Jerry Bloom of Winfred South Dakota. funeral held Friday noon at home conducted by Rev La Geerlings of the Christian Reformed Church.

George Miller drove to Manley on business and returned Friday. Mrs Wesley Miller’s son Will Groth and Irene Grand Albert Emilie Tonk and Harmina visited Fred Dierks Sunday. John Funk visited the Winterfeld home Sunday. Fred Johnson’s son, a Lutheran, was christened at church Sunday.

Hotellings Sell Residence and Move Plans
Dr A L Hotelling has sold his residence and equipment to Dr R M Schultz of Sheldon who will take post on May 1. The Hotelling family stay through the school year end. Hotellings came to Rock Valley twelve years ago and have contributed to town affairs including a term as mayor. The family is undecided on future location.
