City officials reported bids will be let Monday night for water distribution lines in the Golf Course Addition southwest area. Estimated cost to bring city water to 68 lots is about 100000 dollars. Project funded by 50000 water funds and 50000 revenue bonds.
State auditor Lloyd Smith reports Sioux County forwarded 961 220 79 in taxes to Rock Valley Community School for the period Jan 1 1974 to Jun 30 1975. Sioux Center received 1 305 759 17 West Sioux 1 242 726 77 and Maurice Orange City 1 184 850 19. Total county tax receipts to all districts reached 6 714 946 11.
Local weather observer Larry Van Berkum reports February moisture at 0.89 inch, well below the 1.58 inch normal. Snow accounted for 6.5 inches and 0.75 inch of rain, with four inches of snow on February 21 and scattered rainfall on February 15 and 18.
