Hawarden Robberies Reported Across Several Stores
Last week Hawarden saw multiple break ins with loot ranging from 22 to 85 dollars at D. Le Dick and Farmers Grain Co offices. D. C. Boggess meat market lost up to 50 dollars, and Dickerson pool hall in Akron was burgled for 10 dollars cash and 300 dollars in cigars. A Ford sedan vanished from Sanborn after a break in, plus a Sanborn music store case totaling about 316 dollars in cash and merchandise. J. F. Glover, longtime Sibley resident and public figure, died at 75 after a stroke.
