New York Violets in 1929 Were 2nd Fiddle to Schoolboys
A garbled 1929 contest note mentions New York Violets finishing behind schoolboys in a gridiron or basketball context and references several colleges, athletes, and events with scattered dates, teams, and officials. It weaves in Olympic, university, and club details with unclear sequence and outcomes.
