Anderson Long Wedding in Hudson Lutheran Church
One of the happiest church weddings in Hudson was held at the Lutheran church on Tuesday afternoon. Miss Marcelle Anderson married Mr. Harold J. Long of Rock Valley with Rev. Thompson officiating. Attendants were Lois Long and Harvey Anderson. The bride wore white georgette and satin with orange blossom wreath and carried white roses. A reception followed at Mrs. Rena Johnson’s home with over a hundred guests and a four course meal. The couple will live in Rock Valley and begin housekeeping there. Out of town guests included H. Anderson of Oklahoma and S. H. Detlie spouses.

Farmers Help Neighbor After Burned Husking Incident
Twelve miles southwest of Canton near Eadrick DeNure's farm neighbors gathered to finish his torn husking after his wife Mrs DeNure suffered severe burns when heating mixed polish ignited her clothing. Fire spread rapidly and efforts to extinguish failed. The community aided DeNure, with his wife moved to Canton for care, as sympathy poured in from Canton and area residents.

Ray Terpstra dies of consumption. remains to be brought to Ney for burial with funeral arrival expected Friday. Born Fries land Holland July 12, 1883. Came to the country in 1909 and lived near Rock Valley then moved west. Survived by two trotters, a sister in Holland, two uncles in Inwood and Doon, and numerous friends in the area.

Death of Mrs T Hoekstra in Lions Center area
Jessie Hoekstra died at home after a stroke on Tuesday afternoon. She was 77 years old and had lived in the Lions Center area for several years. Survived by husband, children, four days? grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed church with interment in Valley Cemetery. Geerlings conducted the service.
