Local Boys Join Des Moines Register Bike Tour
Four local 16 year olds join Des Moines Register columnists Donald Keal and Job Kerrass on the SAGARAT Great Bike Ride across Iowa. The Rock Valley group plans a 409 mile journey with four ten speed bikes, camping each night at predetermined points from Waterloo to Monticello and Dubuque. They admit little prior preparation beyond three or four excursions near Newton Hills in South Dakota.
