Farmers Elevator Has Paid Nearly 2 Million
A class reunion of the class of 2927 was held Saturday July 29 with a dinner at Red Rock Steak House. Guest of honor was Miss Ethel McKeegan, sponsor during senior year. Seven original members attended with spouses, then visited Mrs. Rosie Kessler’s home to reminisce. Many members have large families and grandchildren, with attendees living in nearby areas and some in Sioux Falls, Mahomen, Waterloo, and Atlanta. Lehers read for two absent members.

Fire Department Responds Twice to Local Incidents
Fire crews answered two calls last week. A barn fire at the Fred Van Kiley farm caused $700 to $800 in damage to the barn roof and haymow. A Monday warning call to the Chester Vande Weerd home addressed blowing sparks from a silo pit fire.

Committee Elected To Organize For Hospital Auxiliary
A hospital auxiliary organizational meeting at Hegg Memorial Hospital drew 25 community representatives. The Rock Valley Federated Woman’s Club’s Community Betterment committee organized and members will draft a local auxiliary constitution and plan a membership drive.
