A flurry of visits and social events fills the region. Local families share time in Sioux Falls, Inwood, and Rock Rapids, with weddings, birthdays, baptisms, and church activities noted alongside travel to Minneapolis, St Paul, and Orange City.
The Ruby Circle of the Methodist church met at Mrs. Harry Kersbergen's home on Wednesday afternoon April 19 with Mrs. Ralph Kuiper as co host. Officers re elected for the coming year were Mrs. Owen Manning chairmen Mrs Arthur Helder secretary and Mrs Elizabeth Leonard treasurer. They discussed the May breakfast and committees will plan it. AMERICAN LUTHERAN MEETS The American Lutheran Church women hosted Unwood Lutheran Church women at Our Savior's Church Rock Valley last Wednesday with opening program by Mrs LR Hege and welcome by president Mrs Fritz Kock.
Hope Circle met at Mrs. Casey Gerritsen home on April 19 for a business session and Devotions from St. John. The program titled The Soul of Your Home was presented by Mrs. Raymond Rotoff. Henry Van Waudenburg of Rock Valley Iowa was approved for probate. Joe Van Waudenburg appointed executor. Harold R. Van De Berg sued Harold Sidney Carlson of Willmar Minnesota. petition cites March 6 1966 at about 8 90 p m when he drove a car owned by Kooiker.
Chevrole Inc. of Rock Rapids and Sidney Carlson alleged negligence in a crash on U.S. Highway 10 near Orange City injuring the plaintiff with future earning loss and $40,000 sought. Lois Van Defer sued Harold Sid ney Carlson seeking $20,000 for knee leg and ankle injuries and ongoing medical costs. Garry C. Westling and Christine M. Westling proceedings granted a divorce with custody to the wife and support of two children and an unborn child set at $35 weekly per child.
Lee Seblecty, John Bauman and Joe Kooima entertained Rock Valley Gun Club members on Monday evening with a deer feast. The event drew several attendees and reflected a social gathering at the club.
