St Mary's Academy, the parochial school of St Mary's parish, will open about June first. The building will be remodeled and added to to complete accommodations. A corps of experienced Sisters of Charity will be in charge as teachers.

Mrs Mary Werner Klein 66 died after an unsuccessful operation at the German Lutheran hospital in Sioux City. Born in Hanover she came to America in 1867 settling in Wisconsin then Iowa. Survived by husband Charles Klein and five children, funeral held at Rock Rapids with burial in German Lutheran cemetery near Hull.
The infant son of Mr and Mrs Will Henderson died at home on April first aged a little over seventeen months after a two week pneumonia illness. Born October 15, 1905, he earned a deep place in hearts. funeral held Tuesday at two o'clock with Rev A W Takes officiating and interment at the local cemetery.

Mrs Catherine Cullinan aged 75 died March 21 1907 at her home six miles northwest of Rock Valley Iowa Born in County Clare Ireland she came to America with her husband and six children twenty three years ago residing in Littleport and later Sioux County Funeral held from St Marys Catholic Church on March 23 with Rev Father O Reilley officiating burial in the Catholic cemetery south of town
