Mail Sack Stolen at LeMars Depot Heist Reported
Robbers stole a mail sack from the Union depot in LeMars Friday night and rifled contents along the right of way. A man on duty telegraphed division officials and a second sack arrived minutes later as three men were seen on the step. One suspect arrested later at Alton, with stamps found on him. others driven off at Orange City. Four suspects held for federal grand jury.

Seed corn expert P. G. Holden head of Ames extension departs Des Moines on the Milwaukee to lecture along the line. The train arrives Rock Valley Wednesday forenoon April 6. Holden warns this spring’s seed corn issue is the farmers’ top perplexity and urges farmers to attend a half day session.
