School Boys Object to Change in Detroit Riot

Loganport Indiana September 24 Kirk Kensel aged 40 founder of Kenselvale store near Royal Center died suddenly while hitching his team preparing to come to town to buy wedding clothes. He planned to wed a local woman yesterday. The incident occurred as he sang a love song by the barn. Kensel owned a small general store in Kenselvale. Also reported Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin September 24 a large seed warehouse fire destroyed the John H Allen Seed company stock including 6000 bushels of seed peas with losses totaling 21000 dollars insured.

Attempted Hold Up Proves Disastrous on Oregon Line

Portland reports an attempted hold up on the Oregon Railroad and Navigation line near Corbett station twenty one miles east of the city. Four marked men boarded the express at S in the evening. Explosion at Davenport Mines Kills One Wounds Several

At the Davenport mines four miles north of Harrisburg Alabama a box of seventy five pounds of dynamite exploded after a fire started in the building. Contractor James Smith was killed instantly, workman Tom Carpenter fatally wounded, two others seriously injured, and two buildings housing the dynamite destroyed. The blast created a twenty foot diameter hole and many nearby workers fled.
