Springfield N Oct 24 Thirty two more indictments for malicious mischief issued by grand jury naming Abraham RayMer and Ernest Humphrey both acquitted of murder linked to recent lynchings in riots.

Chicago October 24 Samuel Gompers AFL president touring the states predicts a sweeping Bryan victory election day. He forecasts New York Ohio and Indiana for Bryan and Colorado by 15000 to 20000, with Utah Idaho and Oregon leaning Democratic. He notes Denver rally as a major demonstration.
Louisville editor Colonel Watterson said he never heard of the Cleveland letter before reading it in the New York Times on August 30. He called the letter fraudulent, noted Cleveland had no official dealings with Taff aside from a single dispute, and said Carlisle agreed Cleveland did not write such a letter.

A man slept on a porch at Forty second Street and Fifth Avenue after becoming confused about where to spend the night. The house owner objected to the improvised lodging, and police were called. The sleeper was assessed 25 and appeared before Magistrate in the morning.
