Manila October 2 Fresh from a reception in Australian port the 16 patrol ships of the American fleet starting from Hampton Roads last December are anchored off Limeta for a view of the warships. In Cleveland Ohio on October 2 six people were killed and several injured when a Toledo and Ohio Central passenger car carrying an excursion from Bowling Green to Toledo was struck by a freight train at Sugar Ridge. Victims named include Richard Radcut Joe Gasler Jl McRoy J G Boyd and Stonebridge with one unidentified man. The rear car telescoped and two others jammed. The excursion train stopped due to a hot box and whether a flagman warned the freight remains unconfirmed.
