Counterfeit Five Dollar Note Detected By Cross Eyed Image
Washington reports counterfeit five dollar notes detected after a cross eyed portrait on the Indian chief on the new egg beit note revealed the flaw. Chief Wilkie of the secret service says the fake is a photo mechanical print on heavy band paper, not engraving, with a rough blue seal and deceptive back. A second counterfeit five has been found, imitating the Jackson portrait and dated to 1907 series, with a muddy green back and altered seal.
