Mines on Fire at Maby Mines Near Pocahontas
Pocahontas Virginia November 14 at 2 this morning a fire broke out in the Maby mines caused by defective electric wires. A large portion of the mine collapsed and a fierce explosion followed. Twenty five men were badly injured many burned but no deaths reported yet. The mines remain on fire and further explosions are possible. Firemen and rescuers rushed in to save trapped workers as efforts continue to rescue entombed laborers.

Two Farmers Hit by Eastbound Train at Winn Minnesota
East bound passenger train No. 10 struck a light wagon carrying two young farmers from Courtland Will iam Girzel and John Ringsdorf near the Northwestern station.
