Maj Pitcher of the South Regiment reports Abra de Toy garrison repelled an attack by insurgents led by Senecos Filipinos who tried Samar tactics. American breakfast party fought back and routed the attackers leaving five insurgents dead, one American seriously wounded.
Sofia reports Consul General Dickinson harshly rebuked the Bulgarian government for hindering negotiations and risking Miss Stone’s life. He warned authorities would be liable for her death if Bulgarian actions prompted the brigands to kill the captives. He demands ransom conditions be met with negotiation.

Colonel till Rev Philip Help pastor of the meregational church at Angola was dismissed from the ministry for leading a dual life becoming a minister of the gospel while living a secret life. He came to Angola from Chicago and gained popularity. He was elected to the pulpit but later expelled. His time was spent giving lectures in Indiana and Illinois, while church trustees found he lived in Chicago with a supposed wife. He helped organize independent oil companies in northeastern Indiana to oppose Standard Oil, gaining farmer and worker support and launching a campaign for Congress from the district.
The United States Supreme Court advanced the habeas corpus case of Oberlin M. Carter on its docket and said it would be heard on December 2. Washington file dispatch reports the action as of November 11.

Miss Hesse Kelle Savage aged 18 died suddenly at midnight in the Tallula opera house during a ball hosted by Tallula society. Daughter of Mr and Mrs Savage a wealthy Ashland area farmer. She had heart disease but appeared in good health moments before collapse.
