Clarence V. T. Richeson, former Baptist minister and poisoner of Avis Linnell, faced execution at 12 17 AM after a 12 10 02 strike. He spoke bravely, answered questions with faith, and sang with chaplains as the current finished him.
A confessed murderer, Clarence Richeson, was electrocuted in Boston at a little after midnight. The current lasted one minute eight seconds and witnesses called it the most successful execution at the prison since the chair was adopted. Crowds in rain waited outside as Richeson, 33, former pastor at Immanuel Church Cambridge, faced death for poisoning his young love Avis Linnell of Hyannis to free his marriage plan with Violet Edmands.
Havana reports unrest with government denying further details while observers note worsening conditions. Rebels are said to have stolen horses belonging to American citizens as clashes continue around the capital.
Xenia Ohio May 21 Fred J Southard of Minneapolis was killed at Wright aviation field near Osborn after buying an aeroplane from the Wright brothers. He obtained the hangar keys after being denied permission to fly alone and fell six minutes into his first solo flight.

One body identified as Anna Mahoney and the other believed to be a male victim based on letters found in his clothing.

Louisville May 21 The Presbyterian general assembly adopted resolutions urging commissioners to stay in touch with potential candidates as 2,000 churches remain without pastors. Rev Dr Henry J Becker warned that many gray haired ministers are dismissed for age, hampering new recruitment.
