New York May 21. A new Harlem branch bridge at Baychester on the New York New Haven Hartford line was wrecked by a 50 pound explosive charge under the first span. Girders twisted and the structure nearly destroyed. This followed a prior unsuccessful attempt to wreck the same bridge over the Harlem river yesterday. The Philadelphia firm building it has faced labor troubles.

Miners Reach Southwest Strike Settlement
Kansas City May 21 after 70 days of negotiations the coal mining troubles in the southwest involving about 35000 miners appear near end. The morning sermon urged church cooperation against evil influences. The new moderator will be chosen in the afternoon.
