Seminary Class to Receive Bachelor of Divinity at Augustana College
Sixteen students will be awarded B D diplomas at the Augustana seminary commencement next Wednesday evening. They will be ordained in June in New Briton Conn to serve in ministry. Fire Destroys Naomi Off Grand Haven Route to Milwaukee
The steamer Naomi of the Crosby company burned to the water's edge near Grand Haven while en route to Milwaukee. Fifty passengers and crew were rescued by the Stratford and Kansas. Four coal passers died in the forepart, and J H Rhodes of Detroit was badly burned and later died. The loss is estimated at 225000 and the Naomi was towed into port after a barge attached to the scene secured the hulk.

Freight engine jumps track wrecks passenger train near Utica
In Utica New York on May 21 a freight engine derailed at Finks Basin east of Little Falls and was struck by a Buffalo Cleveland passenger train.
