Last injunction case disposed of in Davenport
The Civic federation injunctions against 11 saloon keepers ended with Judge Bol linger making the last decree in Nels Petersen versus W I Goodwin Nona Miller and J F Miller. The defendants consented to a permanent injunction against unlawful liquor sales in Davenport and the Seventh judicial district. A woman jumped from a streetcar on the bridge line injuring herself but likely not fatally. The Sponge Case retrial began with Drs Hageboeck Haller Meyhaus as defendants in a $50 000 suit over a supposed surgical sponge left in a patient’s wound.
