Two boys Don Gleason and Jarvin Berkes rode a wheel down a Davenport hill at great speed near Sixth and Brady. The wheel collapsed, throwing them to the pavement. They escaped with cuts and bruises, then continued on unassisted.

Old Moline paper mill removed to make way for warehouse
