Hinman testifies on Lorimer jackpot funds in Illinois

Chicago Inter Ocean editor Hinman testified before the Lorimer investigating committee denying paid election help but asserting jackpots exist in Illinois legislatures since he arrived 12 years ago. Mercer Pioneer Is Dead In Mercer County

William McKee, a Mercer county resident for over 50 years, died Tuesday night at 11 at the home of Mrs. Lillie McKee. He was age 52 and belonged to the McKee family. Funeral services were held today at 1 40 p m at Mrs. Lillie McKee’s home, with interment in the Aledo cemetery. Moline Chief Hurt, Fractures Leg in Chicago Accident

O. M. Bisant, chief of police of Moline, was thrown from a street car at Lincoln park Chicago yesterday and fractured a small bone in his left leg. He returned home last night and will be laid up for about two weeks. Bisant was returning from the International Association of Police Chiefs convention in Rochester New York when the car started suddenly and he was thrown from the step.
