Army Ensign Killed In Air Fall Near Annapolis
Ensign Ellingsley of Mississippi and Lieutenant Towers of Georgia were seriously hurt when a hydro aeroplane from the Naval Academy capsized over Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis during a morning flight to Claiborne Maryland. Ellingsley fell from 1,600 feet and died before noon. Towers was rescued after falling into the bay, injured but not badly.
