Bluefield West Virginia June 13 telegram from Princeton telegraphs support for Dr Hatfield in the Republican primaries. The note signals the end of the Warfield Mercy feud a longtime West Virginia Kentucky border clash marked by violence and dispute.
A final decree in Wilmington on June 14 by Judges Gray Guffington and McPherson in the government suit against BE. J. Dipont Le Netiours Co and others orders the dissolution of the alleged powder combining firm. The decree directs dissolution of the powder concerns and distribution of the property among the stockholders.
The Interior Bureau told AP that sending Major General Wood or General Crowder to Cuba to settle terms would be met with resistance if authority to negotiate was granted. Winnipeg. A 77 year old man, Roderick Mac Donald, shot his 75 year old wife to prevent her from contracting tuberculosis. He was arrested after the attack. Separately in Louisville Kentucky, Robert C Wichfite, a Louisiana congressman killed by a train, was buried in Cave Hill cemetery.
Washington June 13 Rep Prince of Illinois led a vigorous protest against the army bill conference report. He fought an amendment to remove Major General Wood as chief of staff and denounced other provisions. Meantime Judge Archbald faced charges in executive session by the house judiciary committee. President Taft is believed to back a commerce court vowing a veto of the appropriation bill.
The Illinois Pharmaceutical Association elected officers in Springfield on Wednesday. James F. Wells of Chicago was named president, with Ralph E. Dorland of Springfield as first vice president and A A Riess of Bloomington as second vice president. The group also backed amendments to pharmacy and drug labeling laws and discussed cocaine sale regulations.
A Minneapolis apartment house fire on June 13 killed two people and left six others overcome by smoke. Firemen from the city and the state fire department convention aided in the response and are credited with saving several lives.
Baltimore June 15 Chairman Marck of the national democratic committee was due to arrive this afternoon to confer with several men on the committee. Reports that Mack would retire as head of the national committee are discredited. Committeemen say Mack retirement is a question between the presidential candidate and Mr Mack. Aviator Burnes Washington is identified in the text. Arthur L Welch the aviator killed with Lieutenant Hazelhurst in a fall from an army aeroplane here Tuesday was buried today. Orville Wright attended the funeral. Hazelhurst will be buried tomorrow.
Washington June 13 An amendment to the sundry civil bill proposing a 250000 extra appropriation for Rock Island Arsenal uncarriages failed by three votes. The matter was debated on the house floor but chairman Fitzgerald of the appropriations committee will not oppose the project next session. It may still be tacked onto the senate agenda this session.
New York June 13 George B Cortelyou the secretary of the treasury under Roosevelt testified in the money trust hearing about the government depositing 25 million dollars in New York national banks to quell the panic of 1907. Untermyer pressed for a bank list but Cortelyou said his memory was poor and referred to treasury records.
Dublin on June 13 reports a suffragist campaign with many arrests as women smashed 42 windows in the custom house post office police and military barracks before police arrival.

Project to build the new inn at Campbell's Island is postponed until July due to high water. Currently 28 inches of water cover the dam, blocking any construction work while the Tri-City Railway company awaits completion to restore the island’s dancing pavilion appeal.

Villisca Iowa June 13 authorities were excited by reports of arrests in the Moore family murder case but later learned the arrests were false. The mayor and marshal urged calm as arrests were possible, while 7000 residents attended the Moore funeral.
