General manager of the Masko gee Electric Traction company announced today plans to call every street car in Meskoere Oala Jape within 90 days except two and begin running fast lines on principal streets. The new cars will be rubber tired and gasoline motor equipped. The company aims to operate under fewer state regulations and laws to cut costs.
Memphis golf scene reports Jase Evans Jr of Memphis shoots 79 for both rounds to finish tied for second with a 154 total. Rock Island's J. Cady, defending champion Crescet Trams-Mississippi, posted 17% par for 24 holes on the Memphian course as the early starters complete the day. Villa troops retreat from Leon, with Obregon pursuing toward Lagos as reports claim Villa’s forces suffer heavier losses. Carranza agency says Villa eliminated as a factor, while observers seek confirmation of casualties and future moves toward Mexico City.
Lieutenant Warneford of the Royal Navy yesterday attacked and wrecked a German Zeppelin over Belgium in a monoplane. He dropped incendiary bombs from above, causing the airship to crash and burn with all 25 crew aboard killed. King George telegrammed praise, awarding the Victoria Cross for the gallant act.

Berlin reports General von Linsingen has reached Lubaczow after advancing from Przemysl toward Lemberg. The same bulletin notes continued battles near Lorette hills and Hebut erne, with French attacks repelled by artillery and counterstrikes. Prisoners exceed twenty thousand since June 1, and Nowoszyn now sees Linsingen forces in retreating pursuit toward Lubaczow. In Paris, authorities seize La Guerre Sociale for anti-war articles.
London reports sinking of Norwegian vessels Trudvang and Superb by a German submarine, with 13 survivors from Trudvang and 17 from Superb. Glittertind, 376 tons, was also sunk near the Tyne. Menapier, 1425 tons, was torpedoed near North Foreland with 6 saved. Hull reports Pentland sunk in the North Sea. crew saved.

Washington June 8 President Wilson announced the note to Germany was about finished and would go forward shortly after cabinet final revision. Secretary Bryan said the document kept its main principle defending safe passage for neutral ships and requiring transfer to safety before prize destruction.
