Telluride Col July 28 two persons drowned fifty families homeless and fifteen business blocks wrecked when a ten foot wall of water from a cloudburst swept Corney canyon. Jewelry store robber gets 15 year sentence

Welter Lawrence of Covington Kentucky was sentenced to fifteen years in Marquette prison for participation in the Thomson jewelry store robbery last September. He agreed to plead guilty to manslaughter. The case links Lawrence Robinson, who recently killed himself in Boston, to the actual shooting of the three men.

Train Hits Auto Killing Four in Ravinia Crash

Four people died and three were injured when a touring car was struck by a north bound train at Roger Williams avenue and the Northwestern tracks in Ravinia on the north shore. The auto party was en route from Highland Park to Ravinia Park. Victims include presumed car owners Mr and Mrs Bullard and their chauffeur named James. Injured include Miss Al Barler of 436 Arlington Place. Recovery of the injured woman is doubtful.
