The Rock Island plans replacing girders on the Fifth Street elevation with an estimated total investment between 55,000 and 60,000 dollars for three bridges. Harrison street bridge is near completion. Main street work to start within two weeks, with individual bridges costing 18,000 to 20,000 dollars each.
