In St. Louis on February 27 P T Hughes 26 of Lincoln Nebraska began throwing furniture in his hotel room on the third floor, overturned a lamp and started a fire. J A Courtney 55 hospital construction superintendent jumped from a window with a fractured skull. both were in critical condition.
